The Hon. Minister of Communications & Digital Economy attended the Launching of the E-Quality Innovation Center at the UNGA, New York

Leveraging its achievements in digitization, Bangladesh has actively functioned as the Secretariat of South South Network for Public Service Innovation (SSN4PSI).

Description:

Through these efforts, Bangladesh has been providing knowledge and technology transfer to other developing nations and LDCs, including; Fiji, Philippines, Somalia, Jordan, Yemen, Türkiye, and South Sudan.
The Hon. Minister of Communications & Digital Economy, Ousman A. Bah took part in the Launching of the E-Quality Center for Inclusive Innovation on the sideline of the UNGA, organized by the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh and supported by UNDP, with the theme “Envisioning a World with Zero Digital Divide”.

The Ministry of Communications & Digital Economy was one of the recipients of the a2i award to replicate the MyGOV platform of Bangladesh in the Gambia. The MyGov platform is a one stop E-Government service platform which has 35 Ministries on board, linking 178 offices, providing 1852 unique services, with 4,037,807 Registered Members and over 2,747,582 total service applications.

Delivering his speech, The Hon. Minister noted that the MyGov plan to be replicated in the Gambia will not only have a huge impact in our drive to digitalize but more so it will improve government service delivery. He reiterated the need for governments to go digital as digital governance is a key element to promote digital Inclusion, transparency, accountability, and public participation while helping to build more Resilient and Inclusive sociology-economic society.
